Details
- You NEED A PASSPORT to travel to Canada.
- Drinking age in Quebec City is 18.
- On NYE, Grande Allée turns into a huge street party. Last year there was a DJ, huge igloo, and outdoor ice bars. Quebecians take NYE seriously.
- Mountains we visit: (1) day at Mont Sainte Anne, (1) Le Massif, (1) Stoneham, second visit at Mont Sainte Anne or Stoneham. All resorts offer trails for a range of abilities.
- You don’t have to be an experienced skier to enjoy this trip! The historic city of Quebec will keep you entertained for as long as you’re here.
- If you make the nice list, this trip makes an awesome holiday gift.
- Please try to pack light. Use the guide below
- On the mountain you’ll need basic snow gear, a coat, ski/snowboard pants, base layers, fleece face mask. If you have equipment bring it. You do not need a bag, but it is suggested to protect your gear.
- Going out in Quebec City, especially on NYE, is slightly more stylish than the typical Cornerstone garb. For guys, hoodies, jeans, and sneakers will fly at more casual bars for the first few nights. If you plan on going out with the group on NYE to Dagobert bring dress shoes, a button down shirt, and nice pants. For girls, be aware that it can be really cold in Quebec and you will possibly be walking through inches of snow, but everyone still wears heels and dresses. If you’re not down to bear the elements, consider boots. For the more casual nights, dress nice (don’t feel like you have to wear your warmest sweater) Coat checks will be available and usually mandatory as you enter the bar at most places (it’ll cost you about $5 including tip).
- Call your bank ahead and let them know that you’ll be in Canada. Using your card gets you the best exchange from U.S. to Canadian $.
- The hotel provides: towels, shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotion, tooth paste (if you ask), and a crap hairdryer.
- Don’t try to cross the boarder with drugs. It has led to buses being stuck at the boarder for over 3 hours. not. cool.
- Same no drugs rule goes for the way back. not. cool.

These Canadian Ski resorts don’t know what they have coming to them…. We party harder, drink more, and shred snow the best! “Dominate the Mountain” might be the phrase of the year people.
