I don't have my own equipment - am I required to buy skis or a snowboard?

Signing up for rentals at a meeting gets you a reduced price, then you simply pick them up at the mountain on the first day. This covers boots and skis/board. You will have to put down a credit card that will only be charged if the equipment is damaged or lost.
